I just now noticed that we didn't have this on the new board. It was one of my favorite threads on the old board I loved to see what other people are liking/not liking in the music industry.

So what are you listening to as of late? Would you recommend it to others?

Spill...for me.

Daughtry- Leave This Town: I got the album in August of last year and I still enjoy every song on it. Erg um other than Kelly Clarkson, him and David Cook though I don't care about Idol. I also learned to play No Surprise this year as my song for recital on guitar. I don't care for Gaga much but I love his version of Poker Face too. I'm weird I guess.

Taylor Swift- Fearless: Don't care if it is bubble gum pop/country I love her lyrics. I love her as a person, the lyrics to her songs are relatable.

Lady Antebellum- Need You Now: I wasn't expecting this album to be as good as their first one boy was I wrong. From start to finish it is great. I'm a country girl at heart, years later.

Cavo- Bright Lights Dark Nights: I really wasn't expecting to like them I don't like two songs on the album but other than that they rock.

Kings Of Leon- Anything by them really, I have been listening to them since their first album came out before they made it big with Only By The Night. I was so thrilled with their grammy win this year. The same can be said for Shinedown I am loving them, I will buy their next album.

Lastly for me before I spend forever in here Lifehouse- Smoke and Mirrors: I have listened to Lifehouse forever, I actually will go out and get the physical CD of theirs, one of the few bands I will do that for. I have seen them twice in concert. I just got the album yesterday and wow, I am blown away. I would venture to say it is nearly as good as No Name Face, the live session of Everything is awesome, they reinvented their sound a bit, but still apply their deep lyrics and emotional pull that they are known for. Would totally recommend this as one of the best if not the best album I have bought this year.

Damn.  I was hoping no one would notice.  I didn't particularly like this thread, uncultured music buff that I am.  I listen to whatever happens to be on the radio in the mornings, or in between commutes throughout the day.  Ones that I actually enjoy as of now are Sexy Chick by David Guetta; How Low by Ludacris; and Tik Tok by Kesha.

I don't dislike this thread, per se...it's more that I always feel like the odd man out in this thread. While music is largely my life and I would probably shrivel up and die without it, I don't know much (if anything) about current music. I live in the past, and play all the safe and familiar. But it is interesting to see what others are listening to...maybe it'll inspire me to get out of the 90s and see what this millennium has to offer.

I'm loving the latest record by Alicia Keys "The Element of Freedom". I don't think it's nearly as good as "As I Am", but it's solid none the less.

Simon Curtis -- 8Bit Heart is amazing!
I'm also enjoying Lady Gaga "Teeth" and the new Christina Aguilera "Not Myself Tonight"

Yes, I'm actually posting in this thread again. Smiley   My latest episode gave me the opportunity to delve back into the world of music, and I discovered a few newbies along the way.

Usher - There Goes My Baby - This song is hot!   Every now and then, Usher will produce something that makes me go "Hmm..." and I really can't get enough of this one.  I actually had to go and Buy the single on iTunes just because I couldn't find it anywhere else and I had to add it to my must listen track.

Alicia Keys - Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart - This is another good one.  You can tell the lyrics have some tangible meaning just by the inflection in her voice and the use of choreography throughout the video.

Honorable Mention: Ludacris - How Low - Not my usual speed, but I just find the chorus faintly amusing.

Dishonorable Mention: Justin Beiber/Ludacris - Baby - I don't care if it's the #1/#2 most listen or rated song, or if Justin Beiber is the best young newcomer of the new decade, I can't stand this song and literally want to throttle someone every time it comes on the radio, and it comes on the radio a lot.

Safety Suit- I love them the end.

Flyleaf- A good friend gave me their new album and I really like them I think Dan and I may pay the $25.00 each to go see them in concert.

Casting Crowns- I adore their new album it is simply amazing. I have loved them for years and this one may beat out The Alter and The Door.

Do not fall over people I am not a huge fan of hers at all but Leona Lewis, I Got You, it's catchy damn it and in the running for the poll that I am going to have for the full cast video.

I still adore anything by Lifehouse after their concert last week.

As much as it PAINS me to say this but Miley's new single is pretty hot and addicting! I should be shot and burried after saying this.
