So I love the title of your episode, because it is the same title that is one my favorite ODaaT episodes I wrote last fall. :p
Thanks Dallas, I really love the song and the quote just stuck out to me. The episode was pretty heavy with darkness and desperation so I thought it fit.
Austin -- Finally he is on the path of learning the truth about his wife. I was so surprised by this, I didn't see this twist coming at all. Nicely done. It was very realistic too. Liz snorting and immediately feeling the effects. It should be prove and interesting to see how Austin reacts ... it is already pretty telling that he called Kate first and foremost.
I am really glad that you enjoyed the entire Austin/Liz scenes in this episode as well as Kate. I think it is going to be a really good storyline that you and the rest of the readers are going to be able to see in the last few episodes and into season 2. They were extremely hard for me to write and I think showing the effects of the drug abuse messing with Liz's health was very key.
Vanessa -- One step forward, two steps back for her and Jake it seems. At the wedding they seemed to connect and share a history together. At the grave, it was filled with tension, as it would be. Still, you wanted both of them to actually say what they were going to say instead of beating around the bush.
I think what I like writing about these two is that history and the constant conflict there, it's one of the reasons people root for them and really want them together. I think there is a lot of hurt left there on both sides and both are way to stubborn to do anything about it. I am still very glad that you enjoyed their scenes, one of the things I tried my best to do was to capture that awkward graveside tension between them.
Hannah -- My favorite scenes of yours thus far, are the scenes with Hannah speaking to us from the grave. You do such a great job of creating this eerie feel to them. It's so grand. Of course, she drops more hints to the mystery that helps build the storyline. So great!
Hannah, where do I get to begin with our favorite ghost other than I love to write for her because she isn't a live and breathing character. It is her death that is being focused on as well as another one at the moment and I didn't want her voice lost in the show. Her reflections about being stuck in between life and death due to the secret she took to the grave I think has always been key to the series so to dabble in her mind for a bit is always a thrill for me.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and leave feedback Dallas it means a lot! I am so thrilled that you are enjoying the first season and how things seem to be wrapping up for everything!
