After answering the poll, be sure to post your thoughts on the following questions:
1) How would you define best friend? If applicable, how does that differ or match your concept of someone you would consider just a 'friend'?
2) List 3 to 5 essential traits that your best friend must have:
3) What do you look for in a potential friend?
4) Do you believe it's important to have a best friend at work?
5) If you are on networks like Facebook or MySpace, what percentage of your friend list are people you would actually consider a friend?
Have Fun!!

1) How would you define best friend? If applicable, how does that differ or match your concept of someone you would consider just a 'friend'? A best friend is someone you've known for years (perhaps even your whole life). Someone who has seen you through a lot, knows everything about you (good and bad) and who loves you anyway.
2) List 3 to 5 essential traits that your best friend must have: Integrity, compassion, humor.
3) What do you look for in a potential friend? Just someone I can relate to...someone I don't have to pretend around. I am a chameleon (I know I just spelled that wrong) and I adapt to different situations. Just someone who would allow me to just be me.
4) Do you believe it's important to have a best friend at work? No, but it makes it easier.
5) If you are on networks like Facebook or MySpace, what percentage of your friend list are people you would actually consider a friend? Probably none, to be honest. Lots and lots of superficial connections. Like Rich Mullins (God rest him) said, "There's people been friendly, but they'd never be your friend." I don't get close to people. I'm sort of recluse.

1) How would you define best friend? If applicable, how does that differ or match your concept of someone you would consider just a 'friend'? To me a best friend is... somebody that will be there when I'm down, and when I'm happy. They will also call me out on my sh*t when I've done something stupid, or will celebrate steps taken to be more positive. At the same time, we can just hang out and not say a word to each other, and still have a fantastic time.
2) List 3 to 5 essential traits that your best friend must have: Humor, compassion, real, strength
3) What do you look for in a potential friend? I see if they can make conversation. They have to be able to understand my wicked humor, and they have to be able to make me laugh. More importantly, I have to feel safe around them, and that they are genuine and true.
4) Do you believe it's important to have a best friend at work? No. I will echo Bex, and say having a best friend at work makes it much easier.
5) If you are on networks like Facebook or MySpace, what percentage of your friend list are people you would actually consider a friend? On Facebook, the majority of my friends are former co-workers who I got along with, followed my family. Most of my good friends, and even my best friends don't really communicate over facebook, we call and make the actually effort, and not over cyber-space.

Someone who is there for me no matter what, someone I cal lean on in an emergency. Someone that I can trust completely, someone that loves me unconditionally. Dan is my best friend hands down.
2) List 3 to 5 essential traits that your best friend must have:
Loyalty, honesty, and trust.
3) What do you look for in a potential friend?
See above.
4) Do you believe it's important to have a best friend at work?
I don't work so not really.
5) If you are on networks like Facebook or MySpace, what percentage of your friend list are people you would actually consider a friend?
Pretty much if I friend you on Facebook I consider you a friend. I don't friend you unless I know you via the internet or have met you in person.

My best friend is someone that I can tell anything and everything too and know that I will only get the most honest feedback possible. Whether its good, bad or ugly, it'll be what I need to hear. I also think my best friend is someone that is there for you regardless.
2) List 3 to 5 essential traits that your best friend must have:
Loyalty, Honesty, Love
3) What do you look for in a potential friend?
Sense of Humor, Loyalty, Honesty
4) Do you believe it's important to have a best friend at work?
Yes, I do. If you can't socialize at work, what's the point? Half of the experience of working is meeting and dealing with people.
5) If you are on networks like Facebook or MySpace, what percentage of your friend list are people you would actually consider a friend?
Very few. Friends are people that I see and hangout with often. Facebook is great for keeping in touch with people that you don't see often or have lost contact with (eg. Peeps from High School)
