What is your favorite television show of all time? This is an easy one for me. Roseanne.
Why is it your favorite? Roseanne seemed very similar to my life growing up. I grew up working class, struggling with everyday trails similar to the ones that the show was covering. I also love that unlike some other shows, not everything was wrapped up perfectly in 30 mintues, that they had long running stories through out each season. Also the face that each episode was about something... Roseanne rarely had "filler" shows. I love how real it was.

What is your favorite television show of all time? I was really torn when this question was first posed. The original BH90210 and Melrose Place, along with Dynasty came to mind....however, after careful consideration I must agree with Pat and say my favorite series ever has to be Roseanne as well. Why is it your favorite? For many of the same reasons as stated above, I felt like I really related as I also grew up in a working class family that barely got by at certain times- however, we always pulled together. I loved the dynamic between the siblings (Jackie/Roseanne and Darleen/DJ/Becky) because I was an only child and perhaps I felt like I could escape into another world when I watched the series- and, of course, the laughs were always non-stop. Whenever I have a bad day I know Roseanne can simply cheer me.

What is your favorite television show of all time? - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Why is it your favorite? - Because it's just absolutely amazeballs. Everything about it was epic, and I've never seen a TV Series better than it. It helped me get away from problems I had as a kid, from feeling like an odd-ball, just like Buffy always was. She never fit in with the popular crowd, and neither did I. She helped me get away for an hour per week, and gave me good dreams at night with me pretending to be Buffy in male form! Helped me have control over my life in my dreams.

What's your favorite Tv series of all time?
Well Scott I'm with you saying BTVS
Why is it your favorite?
I was ten when BTVS the series came out. It was my first adult series I truly wanted to follow. I was forced into ABC soaps, Original 90210, Knots Landing, and Original MP.(I thank my mom now considering I'm writing a soap now LOL!). Well Buffy was the first show I felt like it was cool to be a odd ball. Life in school was never the greatest to me. I mean I was a chunky kid who was teased relentlessly. Buffy never fit in and I felt like that. I identified with so many characters for many reason. As I grew up my favorite character on the show changed too. Willow inspired me to come out to myself. Zander courage was something I always envied(He never got powers except for a few episode. Yet he always went out there and fought.) The secondary characters weren't always secondary! I loved Anya, Oz, and lot's of the many people in the fantastic universe. You never knew who'd return episode to episode! Reruns would air on FX in the morning well I'd watch them. In the summer I watch the season before. I recall having my first romance and we watching Buffy fall for Angel. When I broke up I remember watching Willow and Oz break-up. Later down the line when a friend died I watched how Buffy dealt with Kendra and her mother's death. It was always a escape for me and that's what any good entertainment should be!
To make a long story short I grew up with these characters. I fell for each and everyone of them hook line and sinker. Not to mention the comedy, action, horror, villains(Spike,Angelus, Darla, The Master, Glory, Faith, Dark Willow!), romance and world class acting! I mean what show pre-Glee could get away with a musical episode!!?!!?! I still hum under your spell btw! LOL! I could go season by season and show you how rad BTVS is but you don't want to hear me ranting and raving about Buffy!

What is your favorite television show of all time? I'm notorious for not watching television. I find it a vapid waste of time...but I can always be counted on to sit down in front of three shows, should I catch them: Family Guy, The Simpsons and Mystery Science Theater 3000. I would say that my biggest obsession is Family Guy, though (I can quote episodes), so that is likely the winner.
Why is it your favorite? It appeals to my very zany, silly side. Seth MacFarlane is a comedic genius. The sight gags, the musical numbers, the cutaways - they're brilliant. The show makes me forget about my own shit life for a little while and just get lost in a world where the incredibly bizarre is commonplace (such as the talking dog being the most logical, level headed character). It's a nice escape.

What is your favorite television show of all time? After much contemplation, I would have to say Roswell. Why is it your favorite? For one, it is one of the few series that I've watched from beginning to end. Secondly, I loved the romance of Max and Liz - dashing, brooding dark-haired guy rushes in to save damsel from a robbery gone wrong, only for said damsel to learn later her knight is an alien. The signature caption of Shiri Appleby (Liz) lifting her shirt slightly to reveal the mark left over from where Jason Behr (Max) healed her and then him pointing up to the depths of the ceiling to indicate where he is from is ingrained in my photo memory. There is a natural progression where Liz' friends have to adjust to the fact that these new kids on the block are half-alien; and rough around the edges Michael, and icy queen bitch Isabel don't make it easy. Eventually these two character mellow out and find their own respective romances within the gang, which might be kind of incestuous looking on it now, but I guess they were sort of relegated to their own intimate circle when they decided to protect Max, Isabel, and Michael's alien roots. It could be why they only teased at the Kyle and Isabel' thing, but brought in this new guy - Jesse- to be with Isabel. The adventures were great, but I think the central one for the story actually had to do with Alex's death because it affected every single one of them as whole. I thought for a series that lasted only three seasons -- should have went on -- it had a steady climatic movement. I even didn't mind most of the mini-episodes that broke away from the story. I never felt the same about BTVS after they killed off Buffy's mom. It was a very jump the shark moment for this viewer, and I think the final straw came when they had Buffy's fake death the same or following year. At that point, I tuned out.

Favourite TV Show of All Time? Oh gosh, I don't know. I really don't watch that much TV. I will say Ally McBeal though.
Why is your favourite? It was so smartly written. It was comedy, mixed in with drama and it made you question a lot of different aspects within society. You clearly see that Ally is depressed through out the series and how she handles things was just played perfectly. David E Kelly really had a knack for Ally and the other characters that they just came alive and were so real in every episode. Calista Flockhart was super in the role as well and always gave amazing performances. I just loved my Monday nights. I laughed and cried, almost every week.

This was a really hard topic for me cause I watch a lot of TV and as of the last few years there are three shows that I adore to the point where I have never missed an episode. Then after thinking I was like listing Rosewell, Supernatural and One Tree Hill as my favorite series of all time would be kinda lame so I had to think back a few years to when I actually first really got into TV in general.
What is your favorite television show of all time?
Hands down The Pretender.
Why is it your favorite?
I remember I think I was 8th grade when it came on and it ended when I was a junior in High School it was must see TV on NBC for me and my family. It was well written and produced, the dialogue was amazing. I remember being fascinated by Jarod, as a lead character. Sydney, as his father figure at the Center and by all means who could ever forget Parker? It really was a pre-Alias to me at the time. I loved the two movies they did on TNT a few years after the show was cancelled and I'm still waiting on erg um the third movie to tie up the lose ends.
I remember the show to this day, I bought the entire series on DVD a few years ago and I fell in love with it all over again. Probably the best show ever produced and I think it was often ignored at award time. It was engaging I watched it every week with my family and we all piled around the TV to find out what happened on the show and then we went right into Profiler.
For those that have never seen this show you can watch it on Hulu, they have season 3 up there I'm not sure where you would be able to watch 1 & 2. Ok now that I think I am all nostalgic and kinda lame that is all.
