So, summer is here and I for one have been finding it really hard to stay motivated to produce my series. I am pretty far ahead in my writing, but I would like to stay that way. I've only wrote one episode in the last month  Lips Sealed Just wondering how you all stay focused in the summer months when there's so much out door activity to be done.

Well I break up my week. On the weekend I normally am with friends and bf. During the week I however have certain days where I write more. I know my time is limited so maybe that'll work. Set days for your writing. Try setting on a day where you know you're free.

Also the bits and pieces work for me. Instead of spending hours working on multiple scenes just do one every day.

Easy for me as I don't go outside, there's no reason to.

I like Chris split up my days. Monday and Friday are devoted to writing and West Lake. Tuesday-Thursday I am at work at the church so when I get home if i feel like it I write. The weekends it really depends on Dan's schedule, we try and go for a bike ride, hang out with our friends, Sunday is a split between church and West Lake. So really whenever I can I write during the week, I love to be outdoors and I try and at least write one episode every two weeks. I already have up to 25 written and 30 is the end of Season 2, so I should be on schedule to start writing Season 3 in August.

Admittedly, this is one of my biggest problems. Not because I really love outdoor activities (quite the contrary - it's far too hot to enjoy those down here), but because I have so much going on day-to-day. Work, personal life..sometimes, the writing suffers greatly. I've found that I write best at work, and so that's where I try to get most of it done. That said, there will be some days when I'd rather do anything than write (today is one of them), so be kind and forgive yourself when that happens. Try to do something story related (even if it's just reading old chapters/episodes) to keep your mind on it and try again another day.

Right now my biggest motivation is videos. Getting footage is taking me forever to them, I'n impatient sometimes it doesn't work LOL. Also, I am a few days away from finishing my Jake/Vanessa video and i adore it, and then having to decide if I want to post it or not after it is done. It has a few spoilers for season 2 in it and I'm like gah IDK if I want to give that away or not.

Writing these last few days have been blah for writing for me. I'm just not feeling it hopefully later this week things will look up.

My motivation comes in my ADHD meds- when I do take it regularly I feel so inspired and motivated- I feel like I can take over the world! Granted I shouldn't need meds to feel such a way, but they certainly help. Furthermore, I feel watching other soaps during my down time (I also LOVE being outdoors and going on a lot of trips in the summer) really inspires me to write more in addition to catching up on my favorite web serials.
